A great tournament where I met some fantastic people both on the courses and socially in the bars and clubs. My most rediculous remark was whilst playing with Darren (Florida) & Hans (Holland)at Portstewart on the last day. I was playing up the 17th and I hooked my ball into deep rough. Hans shouted across, " Did you get a line on it Harry?", I said "It doesn't matter, if I don't find it, I wont play it." That's as they say Irish and I was over there after all. I witnessed one Alasdair MacPherson drive the ball 378 yds down the 17th at Castlerock. |

My abiding memory on Castlerock was being unable to
putt on the 18th. because I was laughing so much as my playing partner
from Scotland, one Willie McP., having looked on the tee at the advice
on par saver then hit his ball to the RHS to dicover what the BBC is.
He then tried to go over the dune, got halfway up then had to play a
baseball shot at shoulder height, the exorcet missed my head by 6ins.
I found his ball he then recovered onto the fairway and finally thinned
his approach which hit the clubhouse wall but not hard enough for it
to come back onto the green or indeed into the hole. I am sure you can
understand my inability to putt!! |

Well done lads, what an excellent web site. For many
years six of us have played in this wonderful tournament, under the
guise of "six Scottish Gentlemen" a severe misnomer no doubt,
our star golfer Jim Mitchell being a legend in his own lifetime, who
enjoys the social life to such an extent that barely knows where he
is at the first tee, totally blitzed, then plays like a dream, (or perhaps

Love the website. Love golf in Ireland and Scotland. When we played at Portrush a local told us we needed to come back for the Black Bush so I'm putting on the calendar for '05. Now all I need to do is find out how I get an entry. Gary |

I have great memories from both of my Bushmills Causeway Coast Tournaments (I still call it the "Black Bush") and look forward to participating in it again in the future. Until that time I will have to sustain myself by drinking the Malt! |

Another fantastic year, and SUNNY! Bought a new rainproof guaranteed suit which never left the bag. Plenty of money left my pocket though. Thank God the horses came to my rescue again - Motivator. Drink? Once again proved that the golf sway doesn't beat the golf swing! |
