Tournament Opening Ceremony
The opening cermony,where ever it may be is well worth a visit.
There isn't too much ceremonial pomp and normally has a decent celebrity guest at it.
Harbour Bar Portrush
The Harbour Bar in Portrush was discovered in 2004 by the Bannockburn Black Bush crew to be a real classy joint and is a buzzing night club/disco not to be missed.
Real classy pub in every way......
Anchorage Bar Portstewart
Another great haunt where we lads go is the Anchorage Bar in Portstewart.
The Anchor,as it is locally known,must be hard to beat for the craic in Portstewart.
It has very flexible hours (long) and has the best selection of beers you can imagine.
During the Black Bush week it is full of golfers talking shop.
It has a real Irish charm to it and the staff really go out their way to make you feel welcome.
They also have karaoke nights for the musically minded.
Peppercorn Indian Restaurant Portsewart
Another great stop during the Black Bush week is just a fifty yard stagger up the road from the Anchor pub,the local Indian Restaurant.
We have had a couple of excellent meals there in the last couple of years.
Causeway Coast Hotel
Along the coast from Portstewart,on the way to Portrush,(I think)we go to the Causeway Coast hotel.
You will not get a better feed anywhere.
The meal you get there is truly remarkable and very reasonably priced.
It can cater for large groups no problem.
Water Margin Chinese Restaurant Coleraine
The Water Margin Chinese restaurant in Coleraine is an absolute must to visit for anyone who likes Chinese food.
They serve a brilliant buffet,enough to satisfy the largest appetite great feed after a hard days walk around the golf course.
Kelly's Night Club
Kelly's in Portrush is another great haunt,but I am sure no one,who has a wife who reads these webpages,wants us to disclose anything about it.
Mums the word.....................
Seriously,a quiet wee pub for the homely bingo loving type of golfer.
