9th May 2014
The countdown is on again for this years tournament.
Sadly we are not allowed to play Portstewart this year but it has been replaced by another truly majestic couse, the Old Links at Ballyliffen in County Donegal. A few of the Bannockburn boys played it a few years ago and it was a truly wonderful experience.
A note to our mate Phil - Raymond has just got fitted with new nashers so beware!!
For the second year running here is a cracking photo of Raymond girning and Phil tonguing him back, photo taken in the Anchor Bar again priceless!!!
Davy Hunter retained the Ivor Donaldson Memorial Trophy which he won last year. Fuck knows how he does it - he was out drinking until at least 3am every night, below is oor Raymond presenting him with the trophy.
This website pays tribute to an amateur golf tournament which takes place annually on the glorious Causeway Coast in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

The tournament is the Causeway Coast Amateur Golf Tournament. The website is a story of a group of golf mad Scotsmen who travel over from Scotland every year to compete for the Ivor Donaldson Memorial Trophy. The golfers are all from the historical town of Bannockburn in Central Scotland.

The story started about twelve years ago when Alex and Willie came over to play in their first Black Bush tournament. Basically all their golfing mates from home followed on after hearing about the great time the boys had. Alex and Willie raved about the great golf courses, the wonderful local people, who go out their way to make everybody welcome and the camaraderie and craic amongst our fellow competitors in the tournament.

The competition takes place on four majestic golf courses on the glorious Causeway Coast in county Antrim Northern Ireland. The courses are Ballyliffen Golf Club, The Valley Golf Club at Portrush, Castlerock Golf Club and last but not least, Ballycastle Golf Club.
Ballycastle Golf Club
Cracking golf courses set in magnificent surroundings with some quite breathtaking scenery. The courses we play are all traditional links courses, which test your game and patience to the full, especially when the wind blows. County Antrim is a truly fantastic place for a golf holiday, the local people are the most warm and friendly people you would wish to come across.
The Valley Golf Club Portrush
The Tullamore Dew Causeway Coast amateur golf tournament attracts competitors from every corner of the globe. The tournament is immensely popular, players from 22 different countries participated in 2009.
